Henderson Trust is a registered charity working locally in the North and West Earlham, Larkman and Marlpit areas of Norwich to help make it a better place to live.
Henderson Trust delivers services and activities in the community, and often this is done in partnership with similar bodies (and statutory agencies).
Much of the Trust’s income comes from the management of its assets but we are also very grateful for funding we receive through grants and other awards.

‘Not About The Bike’ an exciting and long standing Norwich based project which is part of the Henderson Trust. NAB provides a fully equipped bicycle workshop to the whole community and delivers courses, drop-in sessions, after school clubs and events. NAB offers something for all ages and abilities, all of which are currently completely free to the users. The Project Promotes recycling, self-reliance and the passing on of new skills. It really is ‘Not About The Bike’.

Norwich Foodbank provides emergency support through 3-day nutritionally balanced food parcels to people in crisis. We are part of the Trussell Trust UK Foodbank network and use a voucher system with front line care professionals (such as Citizen’s Advice, Social Services, health visitors, mental health workers and debt charities) who first assess those in their care and while working to resolve the client’s issues, we can provide food to meet that basic need.
We operate out of an office, warehouse and 10 distribution centres and each centre is staffed by volunteers willing and able to offer a listening ear as well as a hot drink and snack, with 3 centres also offering a free hot meal during the Foodbank session. The majority of the items we give out are donated by the local community through collection points in supermarkets, churches, businesses and schools as well as individual / private donations.
